No sentences or phrases or I would rate this 5 stars. I do enjoy picking up some words and practicing how theyre pronounced. I have not had any crashes--just some really odd words that I seldom use in everyday English and would never use in Swahili!

This app is wist of time is doesnt have sentence it short words only
Some words or short phrases are great and some make no sense. I often wonder why they choose the ones they do as I will probably never use them in the Swahili language, much less in English. Nice enough for a free app but I would not spend the money to upgrade unless the words got better and I could go through the list of them, not one by one.
There are too few conjugational words to be had. Fewer nouns more conjugational words... Example; I am, you are, he/she is, we are.... That would be helpful. Also numbers, verbs, and days/months.
Good app but some of the words dont match the pronunciations. Also some words are not all that common.
Cant do anything at all without upgrading to the full version for $9.99.........DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!!!!
A lot of the words are not actually in Swahili, they are just spelled with the Swahili accent. I would like to know the actual words for history and professor and a few others. Also some of the sentences do not match the vocals that were recorded.
Very usefull vocabulary, nice way to revise and to learn. Excellent selection of words.
Just got started but so far the app works great. Helping me learn basic words, though I have no idea of accuracy an with one the word spoken was not the word written
It gives me words my husband doesnt even know and he was born and raised in Kenya. Before I had to have him pronounce the words but now it does for you and there are pictures!
So far, so good. There are some places where words are incorrect, spelled wrong, or the voice doesnt match the word but for the most part it is accurate.
I have enjoyed learning a word a day for some time now, when i went to Tanzania i was able to sometimes do a pretty good job of conversing. Now i like the idea of association of those words in sentences.
Its a great app for words that would be useful in daily language. Definitely recommend the in-app purchase to the full version, because it gives you more options.
This app is 425MB in size with a measly 2.3MB in Documents & Data. Can anyone say "horrible software engineering"?Need to learn to utilize the space more efficiently.
I have been using this for sometime now and its awesome! A lot of people are saying that words are said wrong or not the correct word but that is the purpose of learning. When you do the flash cards it is trying to see if you know if the word is spelled correctly and then spoken correctly. A very smart thing to do. Then it tells you how many you got correct. I have been learning with my friend who is from Kenya and he is even impressed with how well it teaches me. Also I can now speak with him in Swahili because of this app. Thank you for a great app!
This app performs well the only negative is the fact that it wont allow me to hear the pronunciation anymore but it may just be because I didnt upgrade. I am learning Swahili and getting better everyday with the help of this app.
A lot of these words are incorrect.
Been wanting to learn my homes language. This app is perfect! Lessons are built well for understanding and pronunciation. Would recommend 10/10!
The best!
I liked the idea of the app--words and phrases in Swahili with audio pronunciation. However, they only give one intro "lesson" and one other more advanced one to test it out, and only 13 of the "cards" in the lesson are useful phrases. There isnt context explained either. For example, is "good night" used as good evening, such as in the US, said causally to strangers as a courtesy or only used intimately, such as in French? It is a bare bones app with few opportunities to check out the capabilities in a useful way before hitting you up for the $10 fee to unlock the other 95% of the apps lessons and functions.
